History of Khilji Dynasty- Jalaluddin, Allauddin and Qutubuddin Mubar Khilji

The founder of the Khilji dynasty was Jalaluddin Khilji who sat on the throne of Delhi on June 13, 1290AD. Jalaluddin killed Siddi Maula under the feet of an elephant because of his rude behavior.

Jalaluddin’s assassination was made in 1296 AD by his nephew and son-in-law Alauddin Khilji by tricked ‘Kada’.

History of Allauddin Khilji and Qutubuddin Mubar Khilji

Alauddin Khilji became the Sultan of Delhi on October 22, 1296 AD. Alauddin Khilji formed a permanent army and started paying cash. The soldiers were given 234Tanka annually. It started the practice of writing the horse and the writing of soldiers.

  • Alauddin Khilji sent his beloved servant Malik Kafur to the victory of South India. Allauddin Khilji wanted to rule on Chittood and to get Ratan Singh’s beautiful wife Padmini, but Padmini gave his life through jauhar fast.

Alauddin Khilji declared himself as ‘Second Sikandar’ in his coins and public prayers.

  • Alauddin Khilji appointed ‘Diwan-e-Riyasat’ to control the market. It fixed the land tax amount 50%.
  • In the Alauddin Khilji’s court used to be Amir-Hasan-Dahlavi and Amir Khusro.
  • Alauddin Khilji appointed ‘Muhatsib’ and ‘Najir’ to make value control successful. He did this by introducing two taxes Charai Tax and Gadhi
  • Alauddin Khilji constructed the Alai Darwaza, Siri Fort and ‘Thousand Khambha Mahal’ in Delhi. He also made Haujkhaas.

History of Qutbuddin Mubarak Khilji

  • Qutbuddin Mubarak Khaliji sat on Delhi’s throneaiman in 1316 AD It held the title of ‘Khalifatullah’.
  • Kutubuddin Mubarak Khilji used to wear women’s clothes in the Rajdarbar sometimes.
  • He was murdered in 1320 AD.
