Former CBI Director Joginder Singh passes away

Former CBI Director Joginder Singh passed away on 3rd February 2017, after an illness for a prolonged period. Joginder Singh was the CBI director between 1996- 97.

The Achievements of Joginder Singh:

  • He was the 1961 batch of Indian Police Service Officer (IPS) of Karnataka.
  • He took charge of the CBI on July 31, 1996.
  • He served as Inspector General of the Central Reserve Police Force.
  • He led many delegations to UK, USA, Germany, Indonesia, France, Switzerland, Iran, South Korea, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, UAE and Hong Kong on behalf of the government.
  • He has written over 25 books on different subjects.
  • Some of his authored books are: Make a way where there is none, 50 Days to Top, Inside CBI, Some Untold Tales, Without Fear and Favour, Inside India.
